1. Handprint Cards: Trace the child’s handprint onto cardstock, cut it out, and then have them decorate it with markers, stickers, or paint. Write a special message inside the card, such as “I love you to the moon and back,” or “You’re the best Dad in the world.”
2. Tie Cards: Cut out a tie shape from cardstock and have the child decorate it with markers or paint. Add a message to the front of the card, such as “Happy Father’s Day” or “You’re the best Dad ever.” Write a special message inside the card, such as “Thanks for always being there for me,” or “You’re my hero.”
3. Pop-Up Cards: Fold a piece of cardstock in half and cut out a shape, such as a heart or a star. Fold the shape in half and glue it to the inside of the card. When Dad opens the card, the shape will pop up. Have the child decorate the front of the card with markers, stickers, or paint.
4. Hand-Drawn Cards: Have the child draw a picture of Dad on the front of the card and write a special message inside. This is a great option for younger children who may not be able to do more complicated crafts.
5. Photo Cards: Print out a photo of the child with Dad and glue it to the front of a card. Write a special message inside, such as “I love you more than anything,” or “Thanks for being the best Dad ever.”
No matter which card you choose to make, Dad is sure to love it. The time and effort put into creating a handmade card will make it a cherished keepsake for years to come.
